Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, my summers were spent camping in forests and wading in rivers. I identified as an artist from a very young age. Drawing was my first medium. I would draw all manner of whimsy: fairies, beautiful women in dresses, flowers, and butterflies while lost in my head.
I began oil painting at age 12, completing my first landscape works under the tutelage of Midge Tomasch. My artistic endeavors have led me through various industries, including fine jewelry design, floral artistry, and custom journals, before finally bringing me back to the paintbrush.
I primarily work in oil in my studio, but I have a long-standing love affair with gouache and watercolor while traveling. My subjects remain the same: the most beautiful things in our world—women and flowers.
My studio is situated in my garden and filled with bouquets, candles, music, and light.
